Affiliate Disclosure
Transparency is a core value at All Things XRPL. We believe in being open about how we fund our operations and content creation.
In Short
Some of the links on this website are affiliate links. This means that if you click on a link and purchase a product or service, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps support our work in researching and reviewing the XRP ecosystem.
Our Review Scoring Methodology
Every product we review on All Things XRPL undergoes a rigorous, multi-factor evaluation process. We assign scores across five core dimensions: security and trustworthiness (weighted at 30%), user experience and interface design (20%), feature set and functionality (20%), value for money including fee structures (15%), and customer support quality (15%). Each dimension is scored on a 1-to-10 scale, and the weighted average produces the final rating you see on our review pages.
Security scoring examines factors such as whether the platform has undergone independent third-party audits, the strength of its encryption and key management practices, its incident response history, insurance coverage for user funds, and regulatory compliance status. We consult publicly available audit reports, CVE databases, and community-reported incidents to form our security assessments.
User experience is evaluated through hands-on testing by our editorial team. We complete full onboarding flows, execute test transactions, explore every settings menu, and intentionally trigger edge cases to see how the software handles errors. We test on multiple devices and operating systems β including iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux where applicable β to ensure our findings reflect real-world conditions.
How We Test Products
For hardware wallets, we purchase retail units with our own funds and subject them to a minimum two-week testing period. We evaluate packaging and unboxing experience, initial setup and seed phrase generation, day-to-day transaction signing, firmware update processes, and physical durability. We do not accept manufacturer-supplied review units because we want to ensure our experience mirrors what a retail customer receives.
For exchanges, we create verified accounts and conduct real trades using our own capital. We measure actual trade execution times, verify published fee schedules against real transactions, test deposit and withdrawal speeds across multiple networks, and evaluate the responsiveness and helpfulness of customer support by opening genuine support tickets. We re-test exchanges at least once every six months to keep our reviews current.
For software wallets and dApps, we install official releases from their respective app stores or verified repositories. We test core functionality β sending, receiving, staking, swapping β as well as advanced features like multi-signature support, NFT management, and cross-chain bridges where available. We check for open-source code availability and review community feedback on GitHub and relevant forums.
How Products Are Selected for Review
We focus exclusively on products and services relevant to the XRP Ledger ecosystem. Our editorial team identifies candidates for review based on three criteria: community demand and user interest, relevance to XRP holders and XRPL developers, and the product's maturity and market presence. We maintain an internal pipeline of products awaiting review and prioritize based on reader requests and ecosystem significance.
We do not accept payment to review a product, and having an affiliate partnership does not guarantee a review. Many products we review have no affiliate program at all. Our review queue is driven by editorial judgment and community interest, never by commercial relationships.
Conflict of Interest Policy
Our editorial team operates independently from our business development and partnerships team. Writers and reviewers do not know whether an affiliate relationship exists with a product before or during the review process. Final scores are determined solely by the editorial team based on testing results and documented evidence.
If a product we have an affiliate relationship with receives a poor review score, we publish the review as-is. We have declined to promote products that failed our security standards even when lucrative affiliate terms were offered. Our credibility with readers is more valuable than any single commission.
FTC Compliance Statement
In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose all material connections between All Things XRPL and the products or services mentioned on this website. When we link to a product using an affiliate link, we may earn a commission if you make a purchase or sign up for a service. This compensation may influence which products we choose to review and where they appear on our site, but it does not influence the content, scoring, or conclusions of our reviews.
We are committed to providing honest, accurate, and up-to-date information. All opinions expressed on this site are our own and are based on our genuine assessment of the products reviewed. We encourage readers to conduct their own research and due diligence before making any financial decisions.
Why We Use Affiliate Links
Running a high-quality review site requires time, effort, and resources. We need to purchase hardware wallets, pay for server hosting, and compensate our writers and researchers. Affiliate links allow us to earn revenue without cluttering the site with intrusive display ads or putting our content behind a paywall.
Our Promise to You
We will never recommend a product that we wouldn't use ourselves or recommend to a friend. The safety of your assets is our top priority. If a wallet or service has a history of security breaches or poor business practices, we will not recommend it, period.
If you have any questions about our affiliate relationships or review process, please don't hesitate to contact us.
